Is the spatula set dishwasher-safe?

No—wood and the dishwasher don’t mix, because it can dry them out and warp them. Just rinse with warm water and a mild dish soap, don’t soak them, and then dry them thoroughly right away. Simple, and that way they’ll stay beautiful for years.

Are these tools safe for my coating?

Yes—this is exactly what they’re made for. Wood is gentle on ceramic and hybrid coatings and won’t scratch your non-stick layer the way metal tools can. That way you protect your pans while you cook.

How do I care for the wooden tools?

Wash them with warm water and a mild dish soap, don’t submerge or soak them, and dry them thoroughly right away. Rubbing in food-safe wood oil now and then keeps the wood in top condition. Don’t use vegetable or nut oils, as they can go rancid.

Why birch wood and not bamboo or plastic?

Bamboo consists of glued strips with seams where bacteria can grow. Plastic and nylon shed microplastics and can melt at high heat. Our solid birch wood is made from a single piece, FSC-certified, and finished to be food-safe: safe, strong, and beautiful.
