Many non-stick coatings are made of PTFE, a substance from the PFAS group. Not our baking tins: the coating is ceramic and contains no PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, BPA, lead or cadmium. What that means in practice:

No PFAS in the coating: PFAS hardly break down in the environment. The Dutch National Institute for Public Health (RIVM) advises reducing exposure to PFAS. With a coating without PFAS, you at least remove this source from your kitchen.
Ceramic surface: the inside is a ceramic Whitford coating. Use wooden or silicone utensils and it stays smooth for a long time.
Up to 300 °C: oven-safe up to 300 °C, so also suitable for bread and pizza at a high setting.
Evenly browned: the core is 0.8 mm aluminised steel. It spreads the heat evenly across the base and sides.
Little fat needed: lightly greasing with butter or oil is enough. We don’t recommend cooking spray, because it leaves a layer that burns into the coating.

Two oven dishes for everything that comes out of the oven: a square one of about 3.3 litres for 2 to 3 people, and a rectangular one of about 4.6 litres for lasagne, oven bakes and gratins for the whole family.

The inside is a ceramic Whitford coating free from PFAS, PTFE (Teflon), PFOA, BPA, lead and cadmium. Nothing sticks, and the dish is clean again with warm soapy water. The core is 0.8 mm aluminised steel and can go in the oven at up to 300 °C. The beige outside is good-looking enough to put straight on the table.

Nice experience

PFAS are substances widely used in non-stick coatings and water-repellent materials. These “forever chemicals” are hardly biodegradable, remain in the environment for a long time, and have been linked to diseases. That’s why they’re getting increasing attention from scientists and policymakers.

Can the baking pans go in the dishwasher?

It’s possible, but we don’t recommend it. In the dishwasher, the ceramic coating wears faster, which makes your bake more likely to stick. Warm soapy water and a soft sponge are enough: thanks to the coating, everything releases easily. If you want them to stay beautiful for a long time, wash them by hand.

Do I need to grease the molds?

A small amount of butter or oil is enough, and for many recipes you can even do without. Don’t use baking spray or an aerosol can: it leaves a film behind that burns on and damages the coating. Seasoning before first use isn’t necessary; a quick wash with warm soapy water is enough.

Which kitchen utensil can I use?

Wood, silicone, plastic, or nylon. No metal, no knives, and don’t cut in the pan: that scratches the coating and then your bake will stick. Let it cool down briefly after baking before you rinse it - big temperature differences aren’t good for the material.

Up to what temperature can they go in the oven?

Up to 300°C, so suitable for any recipe—including bread and pizza at the highest setting. Don’t put an empty pan in the oven at full power and don’t use it close under the grill: without contents, the coating gets hotter than intended.

What exactly is the coating?

A ceramic non-stick coating from Whitford, one of the world’s largest coating manufacturers. The coating contains no PFAS, PTFE (Teflon), PFOA, BPA, lead, or cadmium. This has been confirmed by the supplier. The core underneath is 0.8 mm aluminized steel for even heat distribution; the outside is beige lacquered with an embossed Safecourt logo.

Which set suits me?

The Fun Baking Set is for people who bake: a loaf tin, a round cake tin and a 12-cup muffin tin. The Oven Dish Set is for hot meals: a square and a rectangular dish for lasagne, oven bakes and gratins, and you serve straight from them. The Baking Tray Set is for biscuits, vegetables, pizza and bread: two baking trays and a stainless steel rack for cooling. If you’re not sure, the baking trays are the set you’ll reach for most.
