I’m the kind of person who turns the yogurt cup around in the supermarket.
I check the ingredients. I look at the sugar. I compare two products that, to everyone else, probably look exactly the same.
But at home, life moves faster.
School bags end up in the hallway. Someone’s hungry. There’s laundry waiting, messages to reply to, and usually three things are happening at once.
So when it came to cooking, convenience usually won.
My airfryer had become one of those appliances I used almost automatically. For other meals, I’d turn on the big oven, even if I was making something small.
And until recently, I’d never asked myself what the surfaces in those appliances were actually made of. I knew more about the ingredients in a cup of yogurt than about the appliance I used almost every day.
