Which pan set suits you?

All three are free from PFAS, PFOA and PTFE (Teflon), work on every hob and consist of the same 7 pieces. The difference is in the cooking surface, how you cook with them and how the pan is built.

Ceramic: easy frying with little fat

The ceramic coating makes food release easily. You fry eggs, pancakes and fish with just a little oil or butter, and the pan is quick to clean after cooking. The aluminium core heats up quickly and evenly, and the stainless steel base makes the pans suitable for induction.

Choose ceramic if you
  • mainly want to fry without anything sticking
  • cook with little oil or butter
  • often cook on a low to medium heat
  • are looking for the most affordable set of the three
Less suitable if you
  • want to use metal utensils
  • want to put your pans in the dishwasher
Why this price? Aluminium is light, heats up quickly and is affordable. With a stainless steel base and a ceramic coating, this is the simplest construction of the three. That’s why it’s the most affordable set.

Hybrid: non-stick with a stainless steel build

The hybrid set is a 3-ply stainless steel pan with a ceramic-hybrid coating inside. You cook with the sturdiness and heat control of stainless steel, but food releases better than in classic stainless steel. Of the three sets, this one can go in the oven at the highest temperature, up to 260 °C, and it can go in the dishwasher.

Choose hybrid if you
  • want non-stick in a sturdy stainless steel pan
  • also cook in the oven, up to 260 °C
  • want to be able to put your pans in the dishwasher
  • are looking for one set that can do the most
Less suitable if you
  • use metal spatulas: stick to wood or silicone
  • mainly choose on price
Why this price? You get two techniques in one pan: a three-ply stainless steel construction and a ceramic-hybrid coating. That’s more material and more processing than a pan with only a coating or only stainless steel. That’s why this is the most expensive set.

Stainless steel: no coating, made to last

Stainless steel has no layer that can wear off. You can sear hard, use metal utensils and make a gravy or sauce from what sticks to the bottom. The 5-ply construction, with an aluminium core fully enclosed in steel, spreads the heat evenly across the base and sides. Whatever you heat only touches stainless steel.

Choose stainless steel if you
  • don’t want any coating at all
  • like to cook on a high heat and sear
  • use metal utensils
  • are looking for a set where nothing can wear off
Less suitable if you
  • want to fry eggs and pancakes without preheating
  • want to cook with as little fat as possible
Why this price? A five-ply stainless steel pan contains much more metal than a coated aluminium pan, and those layers run through the whole pan, from base to rim. No coating is involved. That’s why this set sits between ceramic and hybrid.

Price difference

Why does one set cost more than another?

You pay for how the pan is built: which metals are in it, how many layers, and whether it has a coating. All three are free from PFAS, PFOA and PTFE.

Ceramic

219,95

An aluminium pan with a ceramic coating and a stainless steel base. The simplest construction, light and quick to heat up.

Stainless steel

249,95

Five layers of metal throughout the pan, without coating. More metal means more weight, even heat and nothing that can wear off.

Hybrid

299,95

A stainless steel pan and a non-stick coating in one. Two techniques, so more material and more processing. You get the ease of non-stick with the sturdiness of stainless steel.

The same for all three

The same 7 pieces, so you’re only comparing the material.

Frequently asked questions

Still not sure?

I really can’t choose. Which set suits most people?

If you mainly fry eggs, pancakes and fish and want quick washing up, choose ceramic. If you want one set that can do the most, including the oven and dishwasher, choose hybrid. If you like cooking on a high heat and want no coating at all, choose stainless steel.

Why is hybrid more expensive than stainless steel, when stainless steel has more layers?

The hybrid set is a stainless steel pan and a non-stick pan in one. On top of the stainless steel construction, it has a ceramic-hybrid coating, which is an extra material and an extra process. The stainless steel set has no coating.

Are all three sets really PFAS-free?

Yes. All three sets are free from PFAS, PFOA and PTFE (Teflon). The stainless steel set has no coating at all; the ceramic and hybrid sets have a coating without PFAS.

Which set lasts longest?

Stainless steel has no coating, so there’s nothing that can wear off. A coating, ceramic or hybrid, slowly wears with use. With the right care, on a low to medium heat and with wooden or silicone utensils, a coating lasts a long time.

Why does food stick in the stainless steel pan?

Stainless steel has no non-stick coating. Preheat the pan for a few minutes on a medium heat first, then add fat and put the food in. After a few minutes, it releases by itself.

Do they work on induction?

Yes, all three work on induction, gas, electric and ceramic hobs.
